About this training
The lesson starts with a three minute audio on the subject of Kyiv’s Golden Gates, which were once the only way into Kyiv’s upper city. The Golden Gates were built in the eleventh century, by Prince Yaroslav the Wise, but were destroyed when Kyiv was invaded by the Mongolian army. The text describes the history and reconstruction of this important monument. There is a transcript and list of new words, followed by multiple choice exercises testing verb formation and comprehension of the text.
