There is a short (1.5 minutes) podcast, followed by a text transcription, discussing the effects of air and noise pollution in Europe. Possible actions to reduce deaths from pollution are described, in the context of a scientific report from a scientific agency. New vocabulary, related to science and society, is introduced, with a list of key words below the text. Students can check their knowledge, in particular the use of cases and prepositions, in three exercises.
